What Does a Public Adjuster Do?

Step 1: Assessment
We will come out to your home, business, or commercial property. We will review your insurance policy. If we determine there is a valid claim of coverage we will enter in to a contract and do a thorough assessment of the damages. This is also where you will provide us with any photos, documentation,  receipts for repairs, etc. which may help us in proving your claim. You however are not required to be at the property, as everything can be handled electronically, as long as we have access to the property.
Step 2: File The Claim

We will notify your insurance carrier of your loss, as well as complete and submit all necessary forms and documentation.

Step 3: Negotiation

This is where we fight for everything you are owed, and make sure the insurance company is adhering to the contract. If we need more evidence, we will recommend the retention of expert witnesses, either yours or our recommended partners, in Engineering, Construction, Weather Analysis, Mold Assessment, Etc. Depending on the Insurance Carrier you have, this can be a quick or lengthy process.

Step 4: Settlement
In this stage, ideally the insurance company has decided to operate in good faith and pay the fair claim value. Or, they may make a partial payment of undisputed or mutually agreeable items. In the event there are disputed items, we will suggest the retention of an attorney, to file any bad faith claims or necessary litigation.
